Prada Infusion de Tubereuse is a lot fresher than I expected it to be. Most tuberose scents tend to be creamy and heavy, whereas this particular fragrance focuses on being light and crisp. It certainly wears well in hot, dry weather where this fragrance really has its chance to shine. In the very early stages, it is a crisp green floral, with lots of juicy orange and leafy green undertones, and vague floral notes over a pale base that recalls Infusion d'Iris. The crispness doesn't last — it so rarely does — and what we're left with then is the vague floral.
A sophisticated scent with none of the cloying sweetness traditionally associated with heady white blooms, like tubereuse. The perfume smells very powdery and creamy, with subtle licks of petitgrain, blood-orange and some green notes all being married together with a carefully balanced (and not over-powering) tubereuse.Star rating: 5 stars--outstanding/potential classic, 4 stars--very good, 3 stars--adequate, 2 stars--disappointing, 1 star--poor. The ethereal beauty of Infusion d’Iris contrasted with the bitterness of vetiver and galbanum was such that this fragrance quickly ended up among my top favorites, where it still remains.I bought the large bottle of Prada Infusion de Tubereuse recently. Its novelty has quickly worn off. It is a watered down waterlogged tuberose; nothing very interesting. Infusion de Tubéreuse opens on an unusually distinct impression of whipped Japanese green Macha tea mingling with the tuberose while white musks bring a slightly grating note to the composition.
The signature of the Infusion line is a clean musky base that is ever-so-slightly powdery and a bit soapy. Think Prada L'Homme, if you're familiar, but heavily diluted and overlaid -- or "infused," as it were -- with other stuff. Limited projection but very long-lived as a skin scent.
